The vast bulk of the news media we depend upon for understanding the world around us is full of obfuscation, wilful or otherwise, and propaganda. As a result, we are for the most part spared a critical look at big business’s role in perpetuating human rights abuses around the world by trading in weapons and torture instruments, and the escalating depletion and degradation of the world’s natural resources.
